Dreams
Last night was full of disturbing dreams. I dreamt a certain family member had a stroke which quite literally turned him back into an infant. Other odd dreams and as I have always been a vivid dreamer I try to take note and listen and ask for revelation. I need to intercede for the sick and the unborn. Indeed I did have a small glass of wine and chocolate which may have affected me more than I realize. I say that because my husband, on his search to find the underlying possible dietary cause of his issue, I do prefer a simple diet. It is cleaner for my system and keeps me more lucid.
This day marks the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord, the day where Jesus is presented at the Temple and both Simeon and the prophetess Anna comment on His arrival and future: "Forty days after the solemnity of Christmas, Mary and Joseph consecrated Jesus in the Temple of Jerusalem, showing their obedience to God and fulfilling the Mosaic Law. Simeon, a just and devout man, utters a prophecy: "Then Simeon blessed them and said to His mother, Mary, "Behold this Child is appointed to cause the rise and fall of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed; and a sword will pierce your heart as well" (referring to Jesus's death and the pain it would cause Mary). There was also a prophetess named Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher, who was well along in years....she never left the Temple, but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying. Coming forward at that moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were waiting for the redemption of Israel." (Luke 2:34-38)
There seems to be much these past few days about the redemption of Israel and specifically Jerusalem . Help me listen Lord. I am heavy hearted. Teach me to pray without ceasing, to be faithful like your servant Anna.
Amen
