Fatigue + Failure


This morning, the sun has yet to rise and it is a new day. By all accounts I should be praising the Lord like the bird I hear. Sabine is calling so I should go. The reason I titled this post the way I did is because I am tired by my own doing. For me staying up past eleven is totally a waste because I'm only tempted to watch shows that are generally not edifying and eat things that will just make me feel uncomfortable the next day.

This photo reminds me of Jacob's Ladder: angels climbing, descending; my seeking upward to your face, then falling, failing and climbing again. But look, I may be washed again by your blood, daily. I do not need to despair because my hope is based on what You have already accomplished. This is why daily it is a necessity to confess our sins and wash in our Lord. (John 13:9-10) Peter, always aware of his failings and sins, so it seems responds when Jesus washes his feet: "Then Lord, not just my feet, but my hands
